Discoveryland is a park in China that has a Premier spaghetti bowl clone and the infamous Dizzy Love and Whirling Passion knockoff SLC. Recently they announced they would be getting a custom Zamperla coaster similar to Thunderbolt at Coney Island and it has gone vertical. Some theming is being constructed as well.

Zamperla managed to sell another one of these in South Korea as well apparently. Also there's going to be one more in Alabama at OWA.

Buying one of these is how you can tell a group did no research at all. They're like when police departments bought Dodge Neons and they kept failing during emergencies.

Honestly I do really like the layout, seems like they just need a new train.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

3 across trains was just the most bizarre design choice ever.

However the good point is that you can get the center seat POV! :D

More construction! The track color seems to be orange. The turn into the brakes is complete and it seems that after the drop there will be a loop and then an immelman and that there will be some sort of inversion over the brake run.

Wonder if it would be any more comfortable if Maurer made the same sequence of elements with their X-car model.

Here's some older concept art of the ride. Apparently the name is Thunder Chariot but no one really knows right now.

^ IMHO the ride concept (Thunderbolt) itself is actually neat! :D

Looks like it's an immelman after the drop.

I'm hoping that we'll see the Immelmann "into a dive loop" coming! Roll-Over, I mean! :)

Looks like we have an immelman into a diveloop into a loop so far. I really like this layout shame it's going to ride horribly.

Guys the rattle on Thunderbolt isn't that bad I promise!

You guys blow that sh*t way out of proportion.
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

We now have a picture of the trains which will use the new restraint system that Zamperla made for Rollin' Thunder at OWA and this confirms that the name is "Thunder Chariot." The layout so far is the drop into an immelman into a diveloop and then into a vertical loop. There seems to be a zero g roll in the back as well but I'm not completely sure.

Looks like the layout is now complete! Seems like it will have a cutback and a zero g after the loop.

Yeah I'm gonna still say this was a poor decision.

^^ Like we'll see one mining company present something mediocre! Intriguing, though!

Here's a render of the layout. I have no idea what the point of the MCBR is and the part after it, but everything before the MCBR looks cool.

At least the layout is custom. That's nice to see sometimes. But yeah I've heard little good about this type of coaster, mainly the car being shaky and uncomfortable for the inversions they put it through.

Probably similar to the GateKeeper effect. The MCBR is less about separating meaningful sections of layout, and more about increasing train output by a small amount.
