(sorry about the double-ish post, but I just remembered my second question, and I don't feel as though editing will get it noticed).

For e-stop, are you going to do an e-stopped launch (say at half speed)? I'm asking because without a tophat, valleying is almost certainly going to occur. I'm fairly certain Speed Monster would not pass this test.

^Yes. SpeedMonster doesn't have a tophat, but the first element is still the highest that the train gets. I won't penalize you for rollbacks causing backwards crashes (because that's just a NL bug that you can't to anything about), but you will be penalized if the train valleys. That's how it works IRL.

E-stop failure is an automatic 1 point off in technical.

All you have to make sure of in order to pass e-stop is that once the train is launched, it will always either make it back to the launch or all the way to the end brakes.

I've just got a pretzel twist done. Not exactly the most original idea, I know, but there's still gonna be a fair bit of difference between mine and sm. I'll probably upload some screens later tonight.

^Yep, supports can go anywhere.

If I don't say it in the rules, it's legal.

I take it that applies for scenery as well?

CJD, can I lower the X for the station area, as it gets right trough my rails.. The surface of the X will remain the same in the Top view, though [:)]

Can you call this an 'something that has never been seen, and can set your coaster apart from any other rocket' ?

I call it an 'Ground Diver' [:D]

I would love to say no to this, but for the preliminary, testers were allowed so I'm assuming it will stay the same.

I don't see the point in testers. Are you too stupid to see the mistakes by yourself. [lol] I know I'm harsh [:P]

I would laugh if Hepta decided to make a real good ride and would have been good enough to qualify for the next round.

Testers are good, its like checking for spelling and grammer mistakes in a paper you write for school. If you read (or ride in this case) the thing enough times, you will eventually became immune and blind to your own mistakes. Mistakes that would be quite obvious or better seen by someone who has never ridden the track. [:P]

Well, I don't see the point in testers either. And I sure as hell don't see the point in having people make 3D's for you. My arguments were not heard before so maybe they will now. If we're going to have people make 3D's for us, why not just go balls out and let people do trackwork as well?

Edit: Canadmos, this is a contest, not a school paper. My work against your work. Not the work of me and somebody else against the work of another participant and somebody else.

I don't quite understand your reasoning, testers don't actually do anything other than say something like "hey, you have a tree that fails the tunnel test."

If they were doing anything else they would be called builders and not testers. [;)]

I like how yours doesn't go directly into the pretzel Wing Over, and I'll proabaly add half of one somewhere else during the ride. Im planning on going for my custom element first. I only have about a turn done, as Ive been busy. This weekend will have to be my only real build days.

Hah, I personally hate how some coasters are renamed and created around movies or TV shows and the like, but the coaster itself looks good.

Bad news...I am going away for the weekend, but Im going to try my hardest to get something done. It may not be of high quality, as I will be rushed to get it done.

It seems like the hardest part of this round it to actually be in town to make your ride. [:D]

Yes, you can raise or lower the template (since it's really an imaginary boundary), as long as it does not move laterally. Move it up and down all you want, but it's at your own risk. If it changes lateral position, you will be disqualified for modifying it. (usually, this wouldn't be a problem, but since there is terrain in the mix, everyone needs to have the exact same terrain to work with.)

^Making the template for the next round is going to be a little more challenging... I can't figure out what rules to use so that it mimics the coaster's real build conditions.
