^ or maybe they're going for super Disney/Universal type theming? I can dream, can't I?[lol] But then again... it wouldn't work in a park like that.

but that is in the area of the park that is at least slightly themed, so it still is possible. Plus the alleged name "Maverick" fits in with the area to. (Think the Old TV show and movie remake, not Top Gun)

If it is just a standard coaster or ride I think they took the weather in that area into account. Its misserable during the winter up there and it can really slow down construction of a tall ride. I couldn't blame them for wanting to get a head start.

I'm guessing it will, but what does it matter. People are NOT going to be torn between going to CP or SFMM because of the latest coasters they put in. Well, MAYBE some people half way but it doesnt really matter.

But it will be big, I guarntee you.

The speculation is officially over! You have got to see this, if you haven't already...

Well, the speculation on ride manufacturer is over. The model is still to be revealed, and is, thus, still up for random guessing.

Lemon chill, anyone?

I think that the sheer radius of that piece of track, and how early the construction began, means that it's gonna be the 500+ footer we've been waiting for. That's just my opinion, and it is in no way a certainty, but it makes the most sense IMO.

Or it's part of a large vertical loop. I am willing to bet it's not a 500 footer.

Believe it or not, CP and SFMM aren't in direct competition with each other. SO they don't have to be bigger than Tatsu. All they have to do is go out with a bang, which doesn't neccessarily mean building the biggest, but rather building the best.[;)]

Yeah, I'm sure that Cedar Fair is going to change their policies completely just because one person on a medium sized coaster fansite figured out what kind of track was under a tarp.
