the ipod nana uses a lipo polimer battery which is known to be quite volatile.

i use these betterys all the time in my RC cars and they have to be carefully monitered while charging and using.
any damage in the battery can cause it to release noxcious gasses, burst into flames or even explode.

still HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
