Yes, she originally tweeted that it was a double launch coaster to open in 2018 however these have since been deleted.

According to a twitter post, the Mack family are meant to be announcing the project tomorrow so it's likely that Mandy got a bit too excited prematurely.

Looks like a fun ride, although it would have been nice to see a higher speed. It kinda looks slow on the offrides. Onride it looks like a fun ride though.

That looks surprisingly aggressive for a Mack. Usually you don't see them whipping around as much as this is.

This is practically a family ride, other than a few quick transitions. Their 'inclined loop' doesn't even hit 90 degrees of bank, much less anything close to inverted.

Wow this Mack flies by / over / under... tracks and supports!

That said I think Mack is fully able to do a good job - just worried that the spacial constraints of Blackpool might've hindered the layout design and pacing. Some of the transitions look mighty snappy though - which is good.

If it's half the ride that helix is, it'll be one of the best rides in the UK.

Blackpool will have a current coaster :0! This will bring in quite the crowd I imagine. They did a good job fitting in the long layout in the area they have, hopefully forces will surprise people once open.

And the over-hyping of this ride already starts by media. Layout didn't seem to wow me, neither did the stats. So I hope the actual interaction of all the surrounding rides is going to make up a lot.

Yeah, the examples of a stereo-hyping are "Awesome! Bigger is better! Go faster!"

GP probably won't be disappointed - it's the first modern launch designed to thrill in the North of England so it should pull in a fair few unique visitors who might not have been to Thorpe / Alton.
