i'm pretty sure you can, at my school there is a program for doing that but I forgot what it was... I'm not completely sure if it does though

Is your video card capable of hooking up to a tv? If so, you can project it on the TV and record it. That is what you want, right?

You probably need a converter for an old video card like an AverKey to do that.
