Changes with new B&M Inverted coasters?

Now that Banshee has opened to the public, I was thinking that the policy for allowing riders on new B&M coasters has changed. If memory serves me correctly, when Great Bear opened at Hersheypark, the coaster tested for a long period before being opened to the public. I remember asking a staff member at the park about this and they said that B&M required testing for about a month to ensure no settling occurred. Am I remembering this correctly?

Don't quote me on this, but I thought manufacturers required a certain amount of "hours" for a ride to be running before it's declared safe for the public. That amount probably varies by the manufacturer (and location possibly).

All I know is Kingda Ka had to do extensive testing, if I remember correctly, 2100 hours with the replacement cable before it was ready for the first test riders.

Not only are they required to have a set amount of hours of testing to make sure the rides structure has settled and won't move; they also have so many cycles run by the operations crew to "commission" each train. This helps the ride operates learn how the ride sounds and acts during normal operation.I don't think B&M changed their policy. I think the park just did a lot more testing than we saw. Like running it overnight and so on.

I've heard of the month thing. I know that new rides (In Ohio) have to run continuously for 24 hours with no mechanical downtime to become certified. With obvious more attention.

And TTD03 I don't think that's true. 2100 hours works out to 87 and a half days (aka almost 3 months of testing). And that's as Non-stop testing.
