Chimelong Water Park Announces Wiegand Slide Wheel!

Chimelong Water Park in Guangzhou China has announced that they are getting a Wiegand Slide Wheel for 2018. I can't wait to see what this looks like when it's done.

Looks awesome to watch, but with all the stopping and going doesn't seem fun to ride

What if the wheel gets stuck? This thing must have evacuation routes everywhere.

Wow. This actually got sold. Now I'm really curious on how this is going to turn out. This is probably going to be such a weird sliding experience.

I wonder if a roller coaster version of that would be at all feasible.

Damn, that can't be DC Rivals track in the backround, wtf... haha. Does Wiegand do sub contracting for Gerstlauer or something?

You know it's complicated if they have to assemble it at the factory first!

It isn't DC Rivals track for sure, but the green track is actually a Takabisha clone that has sat at the Gerstlauer plant for some time.

For some "visual" reasons, I want to say "High time you literally got digested!"

I don't think in reality it will be that thrilling - this being the prime reason as to why.

This is also my major concern. I really wonder what their solution is to a power failure or anything that causes to have the wheel grinding to a halt. Somehow people need to be rescued.
