coaster news section on front page

I would like to make a suggestion for the front page of the site.
Would it be possible when new coaster news with big pictures is posted, could you resize the images on the front page to a thumbnail?

The reason why I ask this is because everytime I view the front page it is always out of wack and takes forever to load the big images due to the fact that I'm on crappy dialup.[:(]

I am waiting on a .net solution that is on the works on another site, when it is done and tested all linked or uploaded images will have a thumbnail generate and will enlarge when clicked.
