Coaster Types

I'm just wondering what the difference is between various coaster desigs as they're called by the companies. For example, what makes an Aarow coaster different from a Vekoma. If someone (or someones) could just tell me what it means to say stuff like B&M Floorless or Vekoma Corkscrew, I'd appreciate it.
