I know there are several out there that go under the water via a tunnel but for the life of me I can not remember any names.
If you know some could you please leave a name?

Thanks

Hulk dives below water level directly under onlooking guests and into a mist filled tunnel.

Key word in that is below water LEVEL, so it doesn't actually go through an underwater tunnel. the tunnel is completely encased in a concrete shell and is therefore dry. though I can see where you would think it is an "underwater" feature...

yeah, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is anaconda

G Force, there talking about proper underwater tunnels like this:

Although what you linked to, does look like it could be classed as an underwater tunnel in a way!

Anaconda's tunnel is just as dry as the Hulk's, RollerC, and therefore would classify as well.

actually, that was I who said the tunnel was dry, and therefore not underwater, not RollerC.

I guess the question was coasters that dive into water, so Hulk does classify as one. I was thinking of a tunnel under the water, like this, but obviously that isn't the only type possible.

sorry for the confusion[sillyme]

Well, usually when a ride is considered to go under water it means that there is mater directly above the riders, and on Hulk it is only on the sides, so that tunnel is not underwater, just below water level. On the other hand, rides like Anaconda and Vanish go under the water with water above the tunnel.

I was pointing out to e-man that the tunnel on Anaconda is never truly underwater. I'd also question Vanish. That water is no more than a foot or two deep, so the tunnel isn't really "underwater", more like under a large fountain.

Well, it's a some what pedantic point, but I don't consider Vanish to be underwater, as the tunnel itself is build into solid ground, whereas the Anaconda tunnel is in at least 15 or 20ft of water, and there is water on the sides of the tunnel.

An underwater glass tunnel with sea creatures swimming around it would be awesome! It would feel more like actually going under water instead of just going into a tunnel that just happens to have some water on top of it. I think splash mountain's main drop goes under an elevated pond, but I guess the ride is not really cosidered a coaster.

I was mistaken on the Anaconda issue. I had wrongly interpreted the top of the tunnel to be water, my mistake, thanks for pointing that one out to me Tyler.

what if your in a normal tunnel while its raining? [:)]

and splash mountain's drop, although it does go under the water, its not an elevated lake. it's just a part of the ride. the ride also goes under a walkway.

however.. the ride that used to be in the living seas did go through tunnels in the aquarium.. it was a lot of fun and very cool. a great way to see the fish. i have no freaking clue why they closed that ride.

what about the big thunder mountain?

You can't really see it that it goes under water but it has to travel to the seperated island and back (underground)
