Atleast it was to me. I remember playing scream machines back in late 03' and I was still in high school. It was so hard to work with back then. But that was around the time I was looking for a good rollercoaster sim. Thats when I first found No Limits. Way before they even had terraformer or wood coasters. It was the first sim I bought and I still have it. I remember sites like coastergames.net, and coastersims.com. Two of the biggest coaster exchange sites I knew of. I built alot of coasters during the time. Now after going to sfmm for the first time since I was 5, I got back into it. Now coastersims and coastergames is dead! No updates on NL either. Surprised they havent even released 4D coasters yet.

NL2 is gonna kick ass, so no.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Scream Machines has 4D coasters [:)] It has been updated since 2003 as well. You can also import your own trains, cars, and tracks with it. Uploads and stuff has slowed down for it. Time to move onto something else!

I know what you mean though. I've been digging around for some news or anything. The only two signs are RCT4 and NL2 which are both in the pipe-line. But no dates or anything to count down to.
I'm desperate for anything new or at least up to date. I can't run RCT 1, 2 or even 3 on my mac because they are so out-of-date the hardware I have is too superior for it.

I wish Ole would at least release an update for use to have some fun with or at least tie us over until more news of NL2 comes out. But I guess you can in fact say that the Golden Age of Roller Coaster Games is OVER. Purely because the are no sure signs of it being resurrected,

No Limits is still alive and well, and now the dominant program. NL2 is in development as well.

Answer: No.

Thrillville should die, RCT and NL should stay alive

here's an email response who I got from RCT3 technical support:

Keep in mind that these are both older titles so there can be issues when running them on newer hardware. For both games, please turn off in game anti-aliasing and turn down your in game AND desktop resolution to 1024x768 or lower.

Well there haven't been enough "acceptable" roller coaster games realesed yet. We have definitely left the "Golden Era" of "Childish" coaster games though. But I think we are just beginning the "Advanced Era".

Seriously, if my i7 machine can run RCTs 1, 2 and 3, your mac should at least run RCT 3...
IDK about the specs, but I'm pretty sure it can't be that much better...

I had THAT for my PC and Sim Coaster. Once I got No Limits, I INSTANTLY gave them to my cousin. She was 5 at the time and she still plays it!

I loved sim theme park. First coaster-related game I ever owned.

...Then the next year I got RCT2 and i kissed it goodbye.

Hey stop that. Thrillville has some fun first-person shooter games, as well as racing and arcade games! I like the game.

I have try it on my mac,it's not the hardware fault, it's the port from PC to MAC. If someone would mac a games especialy for mac it would run perfectly, but a port will almost always fail, if they put a little more effort in he port it could run great, just look at NL.

Coaster Game Era Dead? LOL. RCT is still going. I don't constitute NL as a "coaster game", sim, yes. NL would have died if they packaged and placed it on a shelf for sale.

Haha ThrillVille is a "Casual" Coaster game. NL is still running, so let's just be happy about that.

Thrillville is just... freakin awesome. Flirting is corny, yet hilarious, and the ability to walk around your park kicks ass. Also, it's the only coaster related game for playstation, xbox, etc.

I enjoyed the game Roller Coaster on the PS1 more than ThrillVille.
