Expanding NoLimits 2 Functions: Help with Modifications!

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a university project in the engineering department, where I'm developing a roller coaster control panel connected to NoLimits 2, similar to the ones seen on various YouTube channels. However, I want to take it a step further.

In addition to controlling dispatches, safety harnesses, and doors, I also want to manage the entire block zone logic and develop a second panel for transferring trains. The problem is that NoLimits 2 does not allow these actions through its telemetry server, as it only provides basic options like dispatching trains, opening and closing doors, and controlling the harnesses.

For this reason, I would need to modify the game files and the telemetry server to add more endpoints. Does anyone have experience with this type of modification or know how I could approach it?

I'm not active in NL2 and where it's at but sounds like something you could use scripting for rather than modifying the games files / telemetry?

As far as I'm aware NL doesn't supporting modding in this fashion and probably would require some methods that are against ToS to get working...?
