I did know about the software but wasn't really interested until I tried it for myself. To my surprise, the HD photos are much higher quality of what I suspected.

Microsofts Virtual Earth is fantastic if you can find a park in the 3D http://maps.live.com/ The ariel imaging isn't as good as Googles though
