H:SAK and Purgitorium

I have had trouble making corkscrews for a very long time. I came across a guide to making perfect corkscrews with Helix:Swiss Army Knife (H:SAK) and Purgatorium. The link is here:

I did exactly what it says, and instead of making a corkscrew, it makes a corkscrew shape with no banking. Its just a hill in the shape of a corkscrew. If anyone knows what variables could be doing this i would be really happy. I have tried many attempts, but all fail.

While I've never used this technique, I just read the article. Basically, you're supposed to get a corkscrew shaped hill, then AHG it afterwards. Hope this helps
