How to Save a Coaster in RCT2

Ok I have designed a coaster in RCT2 using the "Roller Coaster Designer" tool box.
How do I save it.
The manual says I can save it to share or use later but it does not say how.

^from what i remember (i haven't played it for a long time), there's a button with a picture of a disk on it, click on that and a menu will appear, then click save.

Yes that icon is at the top of the page.
When the game mode there is a menu option to save the gam.
However in the Coaster Designer tool box the same icon has NO save in the menu.
