Here is what I have been working on,

Got down the pre-fab look and feel pretty well. I like that last screenshot, too. Very minimalist.

It might just be a matter of personal taste, but I think the wood might be a bit too dark.

I agree. Also, I'd like to see a bit more of the layout and its shaping before I make any judgments about the trackwork.
