Are you trying to ask me if I have been to America? Then the answer is yes, and I still have the same opinion as before I went. Any place in which this stuff is genuine and not a complete joke to every last person, is in my eyes "the worst kind of place".

It's called Free Speech. Many people think it's a good idea.

Sometimes it doesn't make sense. Sometimes you don't like what you hear. It's often illogical or seems silly, petty or mean. Sometimes it leads people astray.

But the point is, there's no one deciding emphatically for everyone what 'astray' actually means. You choose you're own path, choose wisely. You want to be a mime for Christ? Ok, sure, people seem to enjoy it and they aren't preaching hate, so what's the harm? America is really big and the oddities percolate to the top so we seem to have more than our fair share of strangeness (particularly here in California). We learn to be tolerant. Mostly.

Personally the promo made me laugh and I did think it was a joke. Like someone took a "Mr. Voice" monster truck rally promo and for some reason replaced the trucks with Gospel Mimes. You can't make that kind of stuff up without mind altering drugs.

Statements like his are obviously not founded on anything. A visit to the US? Im sure that trumps years and years that most Americans have.
