I would say average is around 18. S&S has 16 people.

Probably 15-30 range. Most are very small companies. The production and manufacturing portion of the industry as a whole employees only about 36,000.

It depends on the size of the company and how many divisions etc. they have. I presume that you are talking about coaster manufacturers, if so, the above guess is fairly well informed.

But some are larger and there are some smaller, so, make your own mind up about that one.

The manufacturers also contract work if they don't have the staff. Say for example they need to check the soil before the Structural Engineer can plan the footings for a ride. He would need to know the PSI rating of the soil, and any local issues or codes. So the Structural Engineer would contact a local Geotechnical Engineer and team to do the tests.

The company may also need to contract work for fabrication if demands cannot be met. So the employment of the firm may be a low number, but a lot of workers are used to complete a project. At one point Arrow had "200" people working for them, but that would include all the contract work outside just the main office and fabrication shop.

Well thank you guys, I just needed an average number to keep my teacher happy. She wants the first, a brief history of, and the current manufactuer of what we think is the best invention. it wasn't hard to come up with those but I wasn't sure of about how many people worked for a company, I knew it was small but I wasn't sure of an exact number. so thanks again
