knott's had a togo looping coaster called windjammer, it sucked so bad that knott's sued them

They sued them for making a crappy, unreliable product that cost them almost more money in repairs, then the ride itself. Saddly, they lost, but let me tell you, I think that was the last ride they built, either that or it was Manhattan Express, one of the 2.

There are tons of Togos in Japan, a couple of which even Robb Alvey said were GREAT. A Togo Looping mouse even.

I say only a couple because really, it was like 2. But they loved that Togo Mouse. None of them could believe how fun it was.

IMO, I think the Togo standup (Skyrider) here at PCW is great. It has some wicked airtime on the first drop, the hill into the helix and the hill after the helix. Overall it is pretty smooth (alot smoother than any Arrow or Vekoma ride I've been on) and there really isn't any head bashing or roughness about it, even on the trick track section.

Those brakes on boomerangs are just for e-stops... I've asked it sometime at the ride ops there... And btw, thanks for taking my picture [:D]: http://rcdb.com/ig1369.htm?picture=20

That wasn't the point though, the point was that they do work on curved track, but straight track....

Brakes like that will work on a curve which only changes direction through a vertical change.

Brakes like on Intamins, for example, will work on a curve which only changes direction through a lateral change.

Yeah, it all depends on the brake system on the track is set up in relation to the brake fins on the train.
