My sister has the turn table in her room, but, I wish I had some good records to play on it because then I'd take it into mine.

This is a little random, but, what's a good software/machine so that I can upload my music onto my computer? I've been looking into it, but I'd rather have the opinion from the master. ;)

i have a us 122 it's pretty damn good. i got a good deal on my digi001, so i don't record with it anymore, but it works great as a sound card , and they're less than 200 bucks. i like tascam. and it comes with cubasis, which is like a cool 8 track version of cubase.

Cool, I'm trying to look for something budget that'll do the trick. I'm really interested in making music again because all my friends that I used to do it with are out of town.

yeah, and it has mid in and out, so you can use it with the microkorg.

Stay away from Cakewalk anything unless your planning on spending hours upon hours time trying to figure out what the heck to do. I use Acoustica products, and they do just fine with pretty much every instrument i throw at it. Still havent messed with my Microkorg and it yet though.

cakewalk is simple. but i don't reccomend it or the acoustica product to anyone who plans to have anything mixed elsewhere. the trimmed down version of cubase included with the us 122 works nice, and the sessions can be opened with regular cubase.the only reason i'd even consider cakewalk would be that most vst plug ins will work with it and it's a good place to learn more professional stuff.if you aren't going to use midi i hear the free version of pro tools is pretty good,

I also like FL Studio 6. But if you wish to have a simple and cheap recording program then Audacity is the way to go.
