The Flip (Looking for a camera!)

Okay, so I really want a cheap but effective video recorder for DJing vids and POVS. I was looking at this... The Flip.

Is it any good? Should I get it?

Make sure it has a firewire port or an SD slot because that USB port will only export at 15 FPS. The others can go 30.

Just usb... The only thing I see which is bad is the resolution. 640x480

If it only has usb yeah it's not going to get great FPS like you'll need.

If you have a 24 inch Intel iMac, you'll have a FireWire 800 port which is VERY Fast, or one of the new ones they just released on the 7th. But like Jimmy Yoshi said, you'll need a camera that's got support for it.

Hmm.. They like it a lot on Amazon. Check it out I guess, though I would go for a real DV camcorder just for the features.

At my local Costco they have it for only $90! But my dad says I should go for a better resolution camera.
