NBC Universal is famous for its programming but mainly because of the color peacock logo that follows:

Today they announced their new logo. You can say goodbye to the colors and welcome plain text. Here it is:

Major fail logo change in my opinion. I think it will fail just like the old navy logo did.

Either their graphic designers only have Word to make a logo, or the management are just on crack.

It would not suprise me to hear it cost them $100,000 to have this logo made.

I think the exxon logo cost $100 million to make. It cost that much due to market research behind to make it neutral across all countries, religions, etc., of the world. Silly marketers charging that much money for a fail logo.

I actually don't believe this. There's no way a major corporation like NBC could forgo such a recognizable identity for something so awful. I'm waiting to hear a "just kidding".

Ugh. The new wordmark actually hurts my eyes.
