New Site Feature - Latest Rates

As you may have noticed, we have added the latest rates feature to the front page. Any feedback on this new feature would be greatly appreciated.

FYI: The feature is still in beta, and will be enhanced over the next few weeks.

We are aware that the track names are track numbers and member names are just member numbers at the moment, we'll work on that as time allows it.

Looks funky so far, maybe adding an option on how many ratings people like to see? Currently I see the last 10 ratings. That could become a huge 'spacer' block if there are 10 full ratings shown.

i like the idea as a whole. perhaps we could donate the ever so pointless "points" to the most frequent rater? haha

Dirk, I'll be working on limiting the amount of characters displayed.

I think it should go under the recent rides, bc right now it takes up too much of the page, and isn't quite as important as the rides that have been uploaded.

Im not sure how it would benefit the exchange but just an idea, maybe there could be a "like" or "dislike" for the rates. Sorta like on facebook.

Or like on Itunes where is says ... out of ... found this rate helpful.

Have you remarked,that this Cdogg36 is overrating all the rides?He's new,but I think,somebody should talk to him.

i would agree on the like and dislike thing thats a good idea

at the moment i think its far too big and clutters up the front page and it needs to either replace the top 5 coasters this week or be a smaller thing underneath

We're going to make the coasters thing a premium/vip thing and have the ratings optional for them. Everyone else will only have the ratings, no coasters.

The tracks on the front page.

I guess that the rates on the front page makes it a LOT easier for the staff to spot a bad rate instead of other members posting all of those topics.

Well that's lame. I think that's definitely going to decrease the already small amount of rates tracks get...I disagree with this move.
