Do NOT Open Mail From Me

Well, as luck would have it, I left my firewall off for one hour while I left a process runnig that needs it off. Well someone managed to hit me in that time frame and bombard me with viruses. I have approximately 42 viruses or so that the av software was able to count but not fix. Some of these are somber, netsky etc viruses which will send mail out on my behalf etc. So do not open any e-mails from me what so ever. We will never send mail with attachments unless you specifically ask for it and if there's a mail saying your mail account has been disabled and stuff, do not click the link either [:)] Anyway, I have my hands full trying to find a way to rid myself of these viruses now and still maintain all the critical info I have stored here. Sorry for the inconvenience. Just so you know, it was someone in the country of Iran who hit me.

What process would you be running that needs the firewall off?

there is some weird virus going around that i heard about on the news that says something like you have visited 30 illegal websites download this to keep out of trouble or something and then if you email anybody it will automatically forward it to any of your contacts and they will get the virus also the person in the email claims to be the fbi so watch out for that virus also

I got rid of the major one, or better yet the one giving me the most annoyance. now gotta figure out the other ones and wipe them.

after getting cleaned up I somehow managed to get infected again! Anyway this time it's giving me more headaches cuz I don't know what to do. Well, just heads up.

Try shutting off system restore... You probably already know this, but oh well..

Good Luck trying to get rid of all those viruses, ect. I remeber when I got some viruses on my pc, completely destroyed it I was lucky to get my data of it. I aslo remember when I had a laptop with no virus software at all running on it and never got hit. But thats another story, again good luck trying to removeing the viruses.[:)]

Slap -- I'm finally home with the "monster computer" -- did you clear everything out? Do you need any help on it?
