A: At a certain point, the entire track (rails, ties, maintrack) should be above 105 feet.

Can we lower the template? It's incredibly ugly. I can't stand looking at it when I go into the sim, it cheapens the visual appearance of the ride, and it's not like you wouldn't be able to tell if the coaster went outside the boundaries since the template wouldn't be moved at all, just lowered.

Also, can the station building (not the track or supports) go outside the template?

How do you mean that with the support nodes? Do you mean the free and the track nodes have to stay within the box, or can free nodes go outside?

^you can't go outside the template. But you must go above the box.

the template are the lines seen in the top view, the height line is just to indicate the minimum height

you can do with the template whatever you want. i'll put it in again when i rate the coaster

as for the station building, it's not supports and not trackwork, it's scenery, so it can go out

Wait, no supports outside of the box? That's gonna be really tough, considering the already really compact template...

It's very possible. There are several ways you can have a 105ft. lift hill that is 25-28 degrees steep (normal GG steepness) and still have a double expanding support structure (like on Boardwalk Bullet) while staying completely inside the template.

Yeah, but I was just messing around with my track trying to find a cool layout, and a lot of tight turns make the supports go just outside the boundaries. Oh well, i'll just keep messing with it.

By the way, for my first actual attempt at a good woodie, it's comming along quite nicely [:D] I'll post some pics later.
