For the 2008 season, Farup Sommerland has confirmed that they will build Lynet, or "Lightning," a Gerstlauer LSM launched coaster. It will stand 65 feet tall and launched to a speed of 50 M.P.H. in 2 seconds. The cars consist of 6 seats and will be themed to a racecar, traveling through various hills, twists, a top hat, and a corkscrew inversion.

LOVE the restraints

Anyone see how the seats get closer together nearer the front?

Yeah - the stadium seating looks VERY nice. So does that Stengel dive cork combo!

I think this may have the same problem as X-cars. Look at the restraints.

Looks decent, but the pacing seems a bit slow.

I think the animation makes it seem that way...it should be much better IRL.

I wonder what problem you see in this and the x-cars? The x-cars have proven already a few times that inversions can be done with lapbars, so yeah...

I think lapbars are do able in a rollercoaster that inverts. As long as it goes over you enought theres no reason it should be a problem.

What I mean is that I have heard people complain that the lapbars are very uncomfortable as they squeeze into your ribs. I really shouldn't say this as I have never been on an X-car, but time will tell.

I think the ride looks really cool. I'm glad Gerstlauer has moved on to launches. The ride itself looks to have a lot of airtime, and the cars are just plain SWEET!

What you must remember is that this is a family ride. F?????????rup is a family park, one of the best there is and this ride will probably fit in perfectly with their existing rides. Still trying to figure out how to afford going down to Denmark next year, plus my other already planned trips[;)]

i love the ride but like some peeps said the pacing was too slow and the top hat looked like it was taken way too fast, possibly could've been some red Gs there[B)] but launch OMG YAY! [launch]
