I have pirated word 2000. I got it via limewire with no virus protection and have had no problems so far!

Depends, if you pirate stuff you usually want to get the files from a respectable scene group : Razor1911, Reloaded, X Force, etc ... They wont have any viruses.

Not if they come directly from them. If it's indirect everyone who downloaded could post a infected file with their group names in it etc. Even if the file really is from them, it's possible someone altered the files and uploaded them so everyone just thinks it's their files.
