Maybe its because Superman's rail shape is I-beam based.

That noise isn't the antirollbacks but is the sound of the train being lifted up onto its upstop wheels. It does sound awesome though!

I love the sound of arrow lift hills, pretty much any B&M with a nice roar, and most magnetic braking systems (Storm Runner's is the coolest IMO).

Did anybody hear Superman's LSMs powering down in the launch station? Pretty futuristic sounding for an older coaster...

SheiKra going up (and especially cresting) the lift. I dunno why...just cool. Kumba obviously is sex, Volcano LIMs are cool, and TTD's crazy cable launch is very intimidating (especially the smoke/vapor/whatever gas that was at the end)!

The Giant Dipper @ Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

The curved station, the long lead in tunnel from the station to the lift...it's pitch black with a couple of tight turns, and that smell of old wood boards and track grease...love that!

For me it's gotta be Flight Deck at Great America. You can get super close to the ride, and that old school B&M roar can't be beat, especially on the last helix.

That lift hill on thirteen; terrible ride but the almost silent sound of it is beautiful.

Colossos. Period. Intamin Farts.
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

Arrow megalooper lift sounds and brake sounds. (the older ones are cool too but the late 80's early nineties ones were the loudest) Scream Machine sticks out in particular.

If you at kennywood by the turtle, go up to the phantom's supports and put your ear to it. When it comes, it makes the coolest sound ever. And I also like the launch on Wicked Twister. And the roar of B&M's

Viper, SFMM opening year. It had a super deep roar to it that rivaled the B&M sound.
