Hey guys, I recently made a chillstep track that I would like to share with you.

My others tracks are not nearly as good, but I hope to make more stuff like this.

Anyway, it's called Way Back Home.

The high hats are way too bright in the first track, they're piercing. I like the chord progression though.

The second track is much better. I find the LFO rate changes to be kind of arbitrary though I'd like it better if the rhythm was more consistent and groovy. I really like the almost reversed pad in the background though and the atmospheric effects.

Here's the preview for my new EP out on Sick Slaughterhouse Recordings. Eaten (the first track, the 115 BPM one is my favourite):

You can get it on Beatport and iTunes.

I have more tracks on BP and iTunes too if you wanna look around. :)

Thanks for the response. Yeah I'm struggling a bit with that first track's drums since it started out, even the kick needs some work IMO. Both tracks are not mastered so I'm up for editing them a bit. I'll also like the house one to have a more aggressive chorus though. It sounds a bit too much like the progression so I'll probably change a bit or add some strings or something.

Over the distance came out quite nicely so far so I'm considering cutting pieces of the distorted bass out to give it some more "groove" or swing.

Edit: I really like your tracks and have been following your profile on SC since last year. Did you do a production course or anything similar in music?

Thanks and no I actually haven't. All self taught through experimentation.

More house and electro stuff! [:D] Busy compiling an album with all these tracks and following the excellent guidance from my co-worker makes coming in contact with all the big guys in the music scene alot easier.

My soundcloud account was full and I don't wanna upgrade again because it's not really a great marketing source so I had to snip the tracks and whack some of the full sets in order to make space.
