I'm not really a fan of the shape of Premier seats, especially for a launch coaster. They feel like they lean too far back and there's no neck/head support.

How close do we think this is to completion? I'm going soon and I'd rather not have to skip out the woodie behind it.

They'll be lucky to make 2019 at all, it seems. This project was oddly (and I think unexpectedly) ambitious given its location.

At this rate Kings Island's giga will open first, maybe. Heck, even Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure could open before this.

According to the latest I've heard, the current estimate is early October for WCR's opening. The project has been hit with delay after delay (some were SFMM's fault, some were Premier's, and some were due to other factors), but over 50% of the ride's components are in place and the remainder should be installed by the end of the month. While the coaster won't be ready for the start of Fright Fest on September 14th, the construction crew is under a mandate to have that area accessible to guests by that date (that's also the reopening date for Apocalypse).
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305

So while Magic Mountain didn't announce their 2020 addition just yet, they have at least now completed most of the track work for West Coast Racers:

The only bit of track work left to complete is station which, from the look of this construction update, hasn't even gone vertical yet:

Still salty it was still being built during Coaster Con back in June, but hopefully I'll be back sometime soon to ride it.

Well the station track is now in which means the entire layout is done:

Now the station just needs building and then it's a case of when this will finally open.

Good news is that the front car of the Blue Train has been unveiled:

Bad news is that the station frame has only just now been finished, so this opening is still some time off:

I think the whole new for 2019 was a ruse to sell more season passes. I mean yes, but their standards its new for 2019 but you can't actually ride it but you get to enjoy watching them build it and that has value right?

Unless this thing plans on opening new years this is probably the 2020 attraction too!
