just an idea i had:
increasing the carcter requirement for rateswould prolly decrease the amounts of overrates, as the overraters would have to provide more detail...

Yeah, I think this is a nice idea, but I think you may end up with another problem of people who over rate, just putting "...................." or something similar, to use up characters.

I had said something similiar to WWS a while ago ... maybe like 2000 characters so at least the rate is somewhat meaningful, but, do you want to "force" people to write long winded statements? I mean, I am guilty of that for sure -- but some rides simple need a "This was horrible and the collisions and death factored in it just sucked." True, not all that are bad need that and some actually need some instruction ... but it does happen and forcing people to write long statements may decrease the amount of raters.

I have been meaning to raise it to 250 characters minimum but I just have been lazy to edit the file I'll see if I get time today to do it.

If it get's too high, whats going to happen is that no one can rate it because they don't have much to say in some cases. One way to get rid of the extra text to reach the limit is to have it automatically delete the same text repeated over again, or delete anything it can't make sense out of. (seems imposssible though)

Ive been making a ratings guide for weeweeslap if you still you want it? Not that i told you anyways. lol . Well im nearly done so maybe you could add a page so people can make a more in depth rate.

well, i think 250 caracters wouldn't be much. i can explain something about T,A,O in more then 250 caracters. So i don't think this will be hard. I think this post has allready gone over the 250 caracters...

no people like dirk and other raters will do a good job, just those who put "good ride" and give it a 10 is who i mean
