So, I don't knwo if taht has been brought up before, but the search function did not find any matches.

I just began with it like 3 days ago and it's so much fun. My Best time is 2:05 but I'm not using any of those speedcubing methods...but I'll try something like that in the future I think. I'll need another cube for that though. I'm currently using the Method from alchemistmatt.com, a really simple method. Anyone here doing speedcubing and can give some basic info or somethig like that? Anyhow, please share all your thought about this subject.

I personally haven't solved it yet. I am using the steps from the packet given with the "25th anneversary Rubiks Cube" and I can solve up to the last step, where the bottom corners arein the right spot but not oriented correctly. I'll check out that site though.

I have! My best time is 52 seconds. My school randomly started getting into them and we have a Rubik's Cube club. It's kinda silly, but it's fun.

And if you're looking for speedcubing, you can use this website:

May I ask which method you used to solve your cube?

This one:

Or you can use this:
http://peter.stillhq.com/jasmine/rubiks ... ution.html

It's not the fastest, but it's a good stepping stone.

While I do not cube on my own (I don't have the time right now), one of my drum corps buddies routinely solves them in well under a minute, if not under 30 seconds. It's fun to watch, and I may actually pick up the hobby over this summer!

My fastest time is 58 seconds. But on average it's usually around 2-3 minutes.
