Graphics are alright, the amount of coasters is very good, selection of coaster also pretty good. But the interface makes it all less fun imo.

what an odd way to start a topic [lol]

the truth has been spoken but this topic is hella n00bified.

There is many reasons why SM isn't as good as NL, but there is also a few reasons with SM is better than NL. Although, the good points for NL far outweigh those for SM.

SM is more flexible for customizations though. Sounds can be replaced and the graphics can be fixed by adjusting your shading and lighting settings.

NoLimits also has more tools, which make the coasters more realistic. I do wish you could make custom cars in NL like you can in SM, however.

The only things I like better about SM are the custom trains, amount of track types and especially the wood textures. Otherwise its hands down NL for me.

Scream Machines is dead though.

Nolimits is the only simulator under active development.

More customizing, let's see:
create your own default stations...
create your own track styles...
create your own trains / cars...
create your own sounds...
etc.

^ I agree. The controls in the sim are so awkward and the editor is a pain to use. No limits on the other hand has a really simple editor and perfect simulator layout and control setup.

The launch speed and acceleration mean absolutley nothing but on no limits you can set the speed to as accurate as 2 decimal points in Mp/h or k/ph!

Scream machines can make a smoother track easyer but hasn't got a realistic friction engine.

This is a very grammatically incorrect topic on the whole, isn't it?

Yessum, ain't it 'doh?

Well I said, "F*** it!" and purchased SM today. $20 is nothing. So now I have both SM and NL, but I've yet to start playing SM. I don't really care if one is better than the other, I just want to create some B&M Flyers and 4D rides. Plus, with my old beast of a PC, I can't even run NL at its full capacity, so the graphics won't matter to me.

Just don't tell the guys at CoasterChamber.com [devilish]
