Yeah, the sun burns it off. Most California roller coasters get their paint burn off rather quickly.

Green and blue will be less noticable of a fade then orange or red.
Viper at SFMM is sad pink now, and you guys saw Tatsu
THe colors will last longer than if they went with the classic red.

Its been 4 years, and it still looks really good.

Final turn around and outward airtime hill. The Twisted Colossus track work is now about 80 percent done, and is expected to finish in less than two weeks.

I think that's been assumed for a while now. Six Flags loves Memorial Day weekend openings.

Tatsu's initial colors were not a wise choice for avoiding that kind of thing...

Wow...hard to believe next year will be Tatsu's tenth anniversary already. It's due for a touch up that's for sure.

That new photo from the double down looks a whole lot better. Should be a fun ride in the backseat.

The colors look great in that picture! Over time though they may fade, but for now they do look rather good.

The previous Colossus was like "Let's run together!" because of slow-paced curves. but the Twisted Colossus is like one furious race is on!

The king of awful will be when Superman starts to fade. It was white previously for a reason.

They really aren't near the end yet, it's just more than half way finished so far.

They still need the other zero g roll, and that whole turn.

So it has officially started testing (I saw a vid of the train down the drop) so now I'm just waiting on a full test run video.
