Technical Warning About Junk Topics / Post....

As you can tell from CKs drunken rant, there are quite a few junk topics/post being contributed to the site everyday. This is a very large problem because we are quickly approaching the physical limits of the database software that powers CC. If we exceed the limits, the database will not be able to write anymore tables and it would cripple the site. In June, I had originally projected we would reach the limit sometime around late December, but the numbers I got today say we will exceed that a lot sooner, sometime in early to mid November.

This problem is not going to go away until the new server is deployed, so please have a heart, do your part, and help keep the junk post to a minimum.

A lot of junk topics come from the newest users. Is there a way to put a limit on that? Like they need 100 posts to put up a new topic.

But I like the idea of needing a certain number of posts. 100 seems too high, 25 would be a more reasonable requirement.

Could you not just remove the old posts & topics from say, 2 years ago?

I think we prefer to keep old topics, its a SEO thing.

Delete all useless C5 topics and posts.

Limit cool5 to one topic a week.
