Ok I have been using the AHG for over like 6 months and I can usually get it to work. Unfourtunatly, I can't right now.
I'm tryin to make just a simple double heartline roll.
I can make it and when I do it lookes perfect but when I ride it
is horribly bumpy.
The car goes into the roll at 15mph and exits at 23mph.
The roll starts and drops about 15ft through the roll.
When I enter the info into the AHG I enter the correct speed values.
I use 6 presion and 150 filter.
With the # of segments I have tried many different options but 20 gets the track to look the way I want. But, still very bumpy.
Here is what it looks like before I enter it in the AHG:

I really wanna make this as smooth as possible, so please, any help?

Ok, i am no AHG expert but i don't usually have any problems.

Try:
- colouring all the track you want to AHG black, do not have the green and red track.
- Precision 10
- Filter 400

Have you set the banking using cont. roll and rel. roll?
The segments may be too far apart before you ahg it and you may have too few iterations.

Lastly, if anyone else reads this who knows more about AHG than i do and realises that i'm chatting shiz, just correct me.

Yeah color the whole thing black, and for something like this, make the enter and exit speeds higher than they really are, it won't shape the track wrong since it's all black anyway.

Oh? I don't get it. But does it work for you now, or do you still a way to find it?

I have a question, and as I've been using teh AHG on and off for several months (probably more), I elieve myself to have a basic enough understanding of what ti does to do stuff with it. However, I have recently begun making tracks with teh FVDs, and when I AHG them they are all bumpy and stuff (probably in much that same way that someone described above) but mine get BUMPIER when I color the entire track black, and was wondering if there's a special way you have to AHG FVD elements to make them perfectly smooth? I hope somebody can help, because so far I haven't found anybody that even really knows what I'm talking about.

Turn up your filter. Try 120 and go from there.

@boneplaya: FVDs bank the track correctly, and so you NEED to color the spine black.
@corn4ahead: Increase the speed in the AHG... The twist is there, becouse of the negative Gs on the top of the loop.
Also, don't color the loop black... Ever...

Make sure the loop is tight enough that when it is unbanked it has negative Gs in the top. Addressed in the end of the tutorial I believe.

Hey all. Its been awhile since I have been building anything and I'm working on a hand built design as we speak. But Im just learning (finally) on how to use the AHG.
I was curious, or maybe I didnt read this but if you have a design in the making
and I want to try the AHG, (again Im new at this)

so with the color system, can use the the AHG from the station to the last segment you made so far on your design?

Also. is it best to AHG every segment as built or after the track is complete?

Again, Im new at this. I have been also experimenting with Openfire which was hand built. I have completed the AHG on a segment of track and saved it as an element, but how do I put it back into the track?
The color system?
I really would like to know this AHG. Fest
