I'll be watching for the announcement while on my way to SFA tomorrow.
Also, if you google search "canada's wonderland leviathan" the first entry is the wikipedia page...and underneath the link you can see:
2012 - Leviathan: A 350 foot roller...
But then click the link, that part of the page shows:
2012 - TBA and then it mentions the countdown clock on the website
I know wikipedia can be edited, but it's just worth a mention.
Leviathan a 350 foot roller coaster, first giga by B & M and surpassing tallest and fastest coaster in Canada (max speed 98mph) [17] (An official countdown clock to the announcement of the 2012 attraction can be seen here. The official announcement will be made on August 18, 2011 at approximately 7:00 am EST. This is also when the countdown clock will end.)
Quote wikipedia, most trusted source since canned bread.
Again worth the mention but if I had to place money, this would not be a bad bet. More recently wikipedia is getting harder and harder to edit without a valid source, so I think we can expect something similar if not exactly what it says.
lol how sick would that be. Seeing as they already have Behemoth, the design will likely have to be pretty different from a normal out-and-back style hyper. Much as I'd rather it be an Intamin, I'm more intrigued right now because a B&M of that size would be even more unique. I won't ever ride it, but I hope they get something good.
Since I don't know a single thing at all about religion, I just happened to stumble across this web site with the names "Leviathan and Behemoth". I guess they're related in the bible or something? Anyway, that name is looking likely now. Kind of like a sequel to Behemoth.
Someone mentioned on TPR that there was a book trilogy where Leviathan was the original and Behemoth was the sequel. Wrong order but still interesting.
Itll still be cool to see B&M do something different but if its really just a LARGER Behemoth Ill be disappointed in that aspect. Two of the same ride? wtf?
