Custom Coasters was not only loved for their great designs, but also for providing the coasters at rock bottom prices. This was wonderful for the parks and the amusement park industry, but from a business standpoint it meant that CCI needed lots of new projects to stay afloat. After 9/11, nobody seemed to want to build new coasters for 2002. Cliff's Amusement Park was the only park in 2002 that hired CCI. With virtually no money left over from their previous achievements, and absolutely no capital investments showing interest for the 2003 season either, CCI called it quits. Their company finished design of "New Mexico Rattler", and then Denise Dinn admitted just how much financial trouble they were in and disbanded the company. However, the 4 chief engineers of CCI have created a new coaster company called The Gravity Group. Their first coaster under the new company name will be "Hades" at Mt. Olympus Theme Park. (Their second may be a new coaster at Holiday World for 2006 or 2007, but it's just rumors at this point.)

Their company finished construction of "New Mexico Rattler"

CCI designed NMR, but only started building it before they went out of business. Most of the coaster was built in-house by the park.

Thank goodness the 4 cheif designers stayed together too...I never liked Dinn much or her style. The other 4, yea, love their style. Hades, if like all the rest of their amazing rides, should prove to be quite the installment.
