- There is no limit to the amount of people who can participate.
- ANYONE can participate
- You don't need to sign up to be included, you just take a turn when the track is available.
- Only one coaster will be built.
- Read the rules again, lol - http://nldc.interfix.net/pageid-2.html

Dont forget, if this is a go, then we as a whole need to decide on what type of track and what not.

I'll terraform and see if I can get a good texture for it.

You can't reserve a turn. I'm assuming you didn't read the rules?

I disagree, TConwell.
Not surprising, but you have missed the point.

I agree with Real in that the moderator must hold people accountable and enforce the rules, but I don't think that only certain people should be allowed to take part. Anybody should be given a chance, IMO, and if they don't finish in time, then it just moves on to someone else, no big deal.
My concern was with people who sign up to do things and do not come through -- like compete in contests. Now, if that hurts, tough ... but it IS the truth. There is FAR too much lack of accountability with these types of 'projects' and my concern was merely to be cautious before proceeding and taking inventory of those who could be counted on, not too single anyone out.

I love the idea. It would only work if we follow the Track Tennis rules. Whoever has seen the Track Tennis projects at CS.com will probably agree that that is the best way to do something like this.

Yea could be very intersting but would require strict rules and moderators for the project.

Ok, so what kind of track would you all be interesting in building?

I will have to reject any form of inverted coaster as there are WAYYYY too many contests out right doing an inverted design.
And also, no racing or duelling type of coasters, those are just too complicated and time consuming to be a community project.

[edit] Once the vote tally reaches 20 for yes, I will make a new poll for you all to vote on the coaster type. [:)]

I think this is a great idea. Everybody at cs seems to enjoy these team based coaster building projects, and i'm sure it will be enjoyed by everybody here too. Another cool thing about this is that if you don't feel comfortable building track, you can use your turn to do a lot of other things.
