Acceleration Formula?

Anyone know what the formula is to find acceleration (g's) with the speed and duration?

Try this:

Final speed minus Initial speed (both in m/s) divided by the time between them (in seconds) will give you the acceleration in meters per second squared. Divide this by 9.8 to get the answer in g's.

So if you have 0 to say 30 m/s in 2 seconds, thats (30/2)/9.8 = 1.5 g's

I tried using that with the stats for HS:XLC. 0-80mph (~128kph) in 1.8 seconds. So that's 128/3.6 = 35.5

(35.5/1.8)/9.8 = ~2gs

I'm not sure where I head it, but I heard that HS:XLC's acceleration was 3gs. I don't know much about physics though.

Yeah but thats if u had a constant acceleration, which means u start off with a acceleration of 2g's which is not possible, 2g's u got is the average acceleration..

do u know the distance / length?
