ANKAPARK in Turkey under new management!

Ankapark, the park that???s been under construction for almost a decade and has 17 coasters to open, will be managed by OCT Group (They own the Happy Valley chain) of China. Link to the news:

I long for this park to finally be open. It has been much too long.

All i can say is Jesus, that's quite a lot.

I wonder how many "unique" rides the park will offer (For example just 1 swinging pendulum instead of 2 or 3)

Ankapark might end up like my RCT3 park when I run out of actually good ride ideas to build and resort to doing everything in the selection list.

I do feel it's a typo.
I guess they mean 217 rides, which seems like a reasonable number if you'd count all the rides, shops, shows, exhibits, restaurants, playground equipment.

I've seen parks do this before, great way to boost up numbers.

2117 rides = every structure, every game stand, every ride support, every ride, every piece used to build the structures, every playground piece of equipment, every restaurant, every shop

Good news, Ankapark will finally open on March 20th. But i will not be called Ankapark. It will actually be called Wonderland Eurasia:

Personally I hope a new management will reopen it again. But I heard a lot of stuff needs quite some maintenance to have it all up and running... :/

Their plan of attack was just preposterous. A big shame and sad to hear, but hopefully not all of the coasters completely go to waste. Surely some will be relocated to help cover their asses lol.

There's a twist, Wonderland Eurasia might not be dead after all (Following quote translated from Turkish):

New operator to Ankapark

Wonderland Eurasia (Ankapark), formerly the Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Melih G??k??ek called ???My biggest dream???, is getting ready to reopen its doors. Ankapark was transferred to Bursa based ECS Stil Tekstil company due to the debts of its operator GBM Ticaret-??elik Joint Venture Group. The new operator will operate the park, whose door was recently locked, for 28 years.

This could be good new. Now just hope they have enough staff in and around the park so you can actually ride all the rides.
