No one has tried it before, but I will have a go at it. As of course, I cannot do 3ds, but I can do some of the track.

Just a few things:

1) How do I get the exact friction of Balder?

2) What is the pre-lift?

3) What is the angle of the lift?

NLDC in progress

Your not ready to do a recreation if you cant find what the prelift is yourself, or dont know it yourself..

I looked at the 3rd pic on RCDB, and it is a 180 degree turn. I set the radius on the H:SAK to 8. Is this somewhat close?

Why don't you just ask us to do the whole recreation? Find stuff yourself, because if you bother us about every single detail of the real ride than that will start to piss people off.

Well can you blame me? If someone didn't say something early it was bound to get annoying fast. Nothing personal towards you EELover, I hope you can understand it.

No one has tried it before

I think you mean no has uploaded it before. I'm sure plenty of designers have put a start to recreating but either gave up from intimidation or were afraid to disgrace a wonderful ride.

Your lift supports are messed.

Maybe you weren't done with them? And by the way holy crap!

I tried this one awhile ago and gave up not too far into it, it's definitely harder than it seems like it would be. Also, the prelift is more like a 190-200 degree turn, not 180: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1562.htm?picture=3

Can you get us a shot that matches this angle:

So that we can see if you got it precise?

Yeah...Yours looks like it gets banked a little too much. The steepest banking point on the real Balder looks like it's about the third or fourth tie in, and then it begins to even back out.

From the vid I guessed it to be 75 degrees (it is now different than the pic above)

You're gonna have a hard time recreating that drop. Its much harder than it seems. The feeling of going that drop is amazing, the whole thing feel so natural (and step [:P]). And the drop doesn't bank much. The banking is no where near 75 degrees

Also remember that the TPR pov is taken with a lip stick camera, and the lens seems a bit to wide, as the video is a bit distorted. The drops doesn't seem as step in the video as they are in real life. Also the speed is a bit faster than it seems in the video.

Good luck!

I dunno why you guys are telling him to fix supports/color. It's nowhere near that stage yet. Just help him focus on the track.

EELover, if you reset the FOV in the sim, you'll get a non-distorted view. Dunno if you have already, but from that shot of the drop, it looks like you haven't.

It looks pretty good so far though. If you get the support structure right, you'll definitely get extra points from me.
