Possibly a ladder device? I don't know. Flashback has something similar:

With how this ride seems to be so custom I wouldnt be suprised if they were for themeing or something that they already do, just devised another way to do it.

In the render drawings I saw it looks as though the top of the lift may be enclosed which could also be reason for why the support goes through the spine and not on top. So that they could easily create a structure around it much tighter to the track.

So it is October in germany or something? Or do B&M's take to long to build, not to mention theming too.(did I just answer my own question?)

hmmm yes, but that wouldn't explain why the top support on Talon goes through the spine. There must be a technical reason for it, otherwise all of the supports on the lift would go through the spine wouldn't they.

There are 2 possibilities for the support going through the spine.
1. Since its at the apex of the lift hill that is the location of alot of stress that acts on the supports. Its probably less stress intensive for it to be holding it closer to the center of gravity of the track than above the track.
2. The lift chain is now fully enclosed within the track spine as opposed to the old style as seen on Raptor. Where the lift chain isn't enclosed.

It detaches then just sits on top of the spine all the way back to the lift motor at the bottom of the ride.

Oh ok I see that. It looks like the track for the lift will be taller than most of the other B&M lift tracks. It may be taller to enclose the chain.

Edit: Silver Bullet has an inside the track chain return.

I think the backbone is taller because they don't have much room for supports. As you can see on the artworks, the whole lift area is going to be surrounded.

Interesting, very interesting. Even the lift hill is interesting. [lol]

The track for this llift hill does look really big in size, probably because of that inside chain return, like Coaster indavidual said.

I cant wait to see this ride up, and with the themeing, it will look spectacular, knowing phantasialand, its just a question of whether the ride will be as good as the themeing. [:D]

yeah, but i hope not that because of the theming, we won't have any height feeling, for example compare nemesis and raptor, with nemesis it might be ground hugging but raptor has some good view with highspeed and you have the abbily to look around you and see everybody watching the train go trough over the track, i just hope this track won't be surround with theming, that all,

hope it all made sence

well hyyyper, if you look at the the artworks posted somewhere on the first page you can see that there should be some paths around the track area, Like a path through the loop? But that are just artworks, I just can't wait till the trackwork is done and that the actual theming will start [:)]

Doesn't look that tall, but I wonder how deep a hole they dug to put it in.
