Coaster Breakdowns

I just came back from Cedar Point furious because I didn't get to ride Top thrill dragster. Every single time we got in line something had to happen to make the coaster breakdown. Could someone tell me why accelerator coasters breakdown so much? Millenium Force and raptor work non-stop, while TTD closes for about a third of the day.[:(!]

Because it's a complicated system of hydraulics. I don't know the techical details, but I'm sure there's much more that can go wrong with that than there is with a traditional chain lift, for example.

^Couldn't say any better than myself! Although sometimes the catch car is involved, Like it didn't latch to the train or somthing.

Well it was the opposite way around when I was there. TTD was working fine and dandy the 2 days I was there and MF was acting up and being a cranky little girl on her period

when i was there I saw fireworks of hydralic fluid flying everywhere.

Trust me, there is literally a million different things that can go wrong with Dragster to cause downtime.

At Six Flags Great Adventure, the same thing happened to me for Kingda Ka. Line was going, 15 minute wait left, they switch to only taking FastPass for a while, and it closes down a halfhour later. D:
