Honestly what is a crumpet? I've heard the word but don't know what it is. Is it like a KFC biscuit you have with tea or something?

Closest thing I could liken it to would be like a breakfast pancake type thing. Usually put something like butter or syrup on, or if you want it savoury, something like yeast extract.

Nasty little things though, really, yack.

The word itself is also slang here for a nice looking girl

Example: I saw him up town with a bit of crumpet.
