I can't wait to see if the ride is smooth on a part where the transition looks awkward. :)

I don't know if it's the size of the wooden lift structure or the fact that it's set on a mountainside, but that drop always looks F%&KING massive every time I look at it. Even though it's not that tall, even compared to other RMCs. I really want to get down there this season.

Just think like this is a next gen "Voyage" with intense elevations! :)

Only the last "ascending turn" part still looks a tad bumpy. The video will tell. :)

From what I've read, it's probably just launch/rollback testing since they said they haven't completed a full-circuit test yet. Still not so sure they'll have it ready for opening weekend.

Yeah the shear size of the hill its on really makes it seem bigger I think - plus looking at it from up high really helps the effect I think. Looking forward to seeing this thing test - espeically the quad down!

Sounds like Lightning Rod has begun full-circuit testing, though this was a weird way of finding out.

Lightning Rod will not be opening with the park this weekend. :(
Lightning Rod will not be open to the general public at this time due to extended ride commissioning. Lightning Rod is an innovative ride featuring new technology never before used on a wooden coaster. The ride manufacturer asked for additional time to commission the ride. Keep watching Dollywood.com for future updates.

http://www.dollywood.com

On the bright side, we do have some official testing footage from the park.

I'm not surprised. Shouldn't be long now though TBH.
