mmmm.. well, i've never done heroin, but i know LOTS of people who have. unlike meth , whos users i despise as complete white trash, heroin scarse me in a different way, i'm afraid if i try it i'd REEEEEAAAALLLY like it, and get strung out. in the last two years i've lost just as many freinds as a result. when many people think of heroin they only think of the bad stuff.. the strung out homeless guy, or the old fashioned movie criminal. many many many many many famous artists have used heroin , many at their own peril. (i.e kurt cobain, janis joplin) others, like lou reed, jason pierce , miles davis, john coletrane, william s. burroughs, lenny bruce, and a list longer than my clean arm, have used it and probabaly wouldn't have reached their point of self actualization without it.however many of them saw the folly in their addiction and quit dope.
on the other hand my adopted brother, who is 19 years younger than me was born addicted. his mother was a wastoid. just a street junkie,
it has been a burden for him , he has some learning disabilities, and it's sad that his mom cared more about getting high than having a healthy baby.
dope is bad because it can kill you , or worse, it can turn you into kieth richards.

thats true, there is a lot of heroin usage in showbiz.

The actual lunacy is why ask people to do your work for you? Spend 0.13 seconds and find a decent source for yourself.

SMer, I'd try any databases your school might have. They are checked for accuracy. Might also be a good idea to talk about what areas of the brain heroin affects, what it does to brain cells, what chemicals are released, and stuff like that.

lol well I'm sure going back to school when the paper is due tomorrow would help [;)] my fault for waiting til the day before to get the thing done, let alone get a bit of research done.

Ah, that's a bit of a shame. If you want to get anymore info on it for any reason (:S hehe) I'd strongly advise the film trainspotting to you, or the book for that matter. Very scary insight into the reality of herion abuse.
