Man Breaks Both Legs

A 49 year old man broke both of legs on August 29, 2026 while on Batman: Gotham City Escape located in Parque Warner Madrid. The man was airlifted to a local hospital and remains hospitalized.

Investigators have not found a problem with the harness or safety measures on the roller coaster, and the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. Ouch!

Intamin Blitz - so pretty common car design.

I do wonder on a lot of rides you can in theory place your feet on the car in front - if he'd done that and as the ride had turned through a tight curve might've pushed his legs in a weird way? Combined with a pre-exisiting condition it doesn't seem so far fetched to me.

He must know what happened. My guess is he did something he shouldn't have been doing. A ride doesn't randomly snap someone's legs after never injuring another person. I wonder if we'll ever find out.

It's been a while since someone has done this stupid human trick, almost every time it's been because they put their feet on the back of the car in front of them not realizing the gap is not a persistent distance.
