I'm sorry to hear that. I blame parents who allow their kids to bully other people based on his/her sexual identity. It is a fast-growing problem here as bullying is now linked to underage suicides.

Also, "you are no different than any other being", you meant human being I'm assuming? Because a dog is also a being and I like to think that I am slightly different, at least in someways, to the neighbours dog.

i came out to my sis.. back in 09 and she went and told my whole family for me... :/ now me and my dad dont talk...

In all honesty, I was implying that he was no different from any other human being. Many people view homosexuals as if they weren't human. That was what I was referring to.

they are different than straight people.. see.. they are gay, and straight people are straight.. so .. yeah .. there's a difference. " they are no different than anyone else" is a simple platitude that has no weight to it. perhaps the phrase " they are worth no less or more than anyone else" would show a little more thought.

yeah .. explain how a gay person is "just like me' and i'm " just like them" coming out day is not about " we'e all the same" . it's about "we're all different, but why should that mater when our goals are the same " ..

What I don't get is why I'm supposed to care at all.
